Lovina G Freeman (Bearce), 80, passed unexpectedly January 7 2026.
She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Herb, who passed in 2023, her parents, her sister and her brother.
My Mom, my hero. I watched her work hard and achieve the position of Chief Officer of the North American branch of an international pulmonary medical supply company. This position required some travel, both state side and international.
At the age of 50 she graduated from Emporia State with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
She then went on to be Director of HR for Continental Can & Container, Director of HR for Johnson County KS Government and finally retiring in 2014 as Director of HR with the City of Leawood KS. Mom is and will always be the HMFIC. Her level of integrity and fairness is immeasurable.
She loved to read, enjoyed watching tennis and her monthly Ladies Night Out with her lifetime friends, affectionately known as "The Chicks".
Surviving her is daughter Stephanie and her husband Paul, as well as her most precious and the light of her life grandson, JP (fiancée Katie).
Also surviving is her niece LuAnna and family and nephews Dennis and family, Joe and Mike.
