Lowell was born on August 23, 1931 to George Leroy "Roy" and Inez (Hamann) Beihoffer in Hutchinson, MN. He married his first wife, Lois Ilo Jungclaus on September 15, 1956 in Glencoe, MN and she passed away in 1982. He later married Catherine (Whitley) Anderson on February 15, 1991 at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN. Lowell proudly served for our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After the war, Lowell worked as an electrical engineer for Northern States Power which later became Xcel Energy. Faith was first on Lowell's list and family came a close second. He was a member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN for many years. When he moved to Becker, MN, he became a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Legion in Gaylord, MN. Lowell was an avid outdoorsman and birder as he loved to spend time gardening, fishing, and duck and pheasant hunting. Lowell also enjoyed traveling and "snow birded" in South Padre Island where he made many memories and friends. Lowell was a very hard working, caring, patient and an overall family man who will be dearly missed by all.
