Lowell Eugene Fox, of Farmington, passed away December 14, 2025, at his home in Ste. Genevieve County at the age of 74. He was born April 10, 1951, in Ellington to the late Harley Harold Fox, Jr. and Juanita Lee (Johnson) Fox.
Lowell grew up in Ellington, where he graduated from high school. He went on to college at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in education. He worked at the Division of Employment Security for the State of Missouri during the first half of his career. He changed career paths and spent the second half of his career as a pawnbroker. An avid coon hunter, he also enjoyed showing fox-trotting horses at county fairs and horse shows throughout the state. Even though he was quiet and reserved, he had a great sense of humor and was a jokester. An outdoorsman, deer hunting and rabbit hunting were a favorite pastime. He was in his element in the country where he raised chickens and tended to his Beagles and Walker Coon Hounds for hunting. Lowell liked to garden and watch good old Western movies, but his all-around favorite pastime was spending time with his beloved family members.
Survivors include his wife Vicki (Adams) Fox; two sons, Steven Lowell Fox (Marcy Wilson) and Jon Lee Fox (Angel King); two grandchildren, Kit Fox and Tyler Steven Fox; step-children, Adam Lee Wade (Lisa) and Cori Ann Pipkin (Jesse); step-grandchildren, Charles Bequette, Hayden Wade, Hadley Wade, Audrey Ruth Pipkin and Eily Belle Pipkin; special friends Allen Stephens (Sue), Larry Allen (Brenda) and Steve Ray Davis (Janet).
An interment will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Haney Cemetery at Coffman. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
