Lowell Hendricks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by HeartLight Funeral Services - Cedar City on Feb. 11, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Lowell Hendricks 3/2/1937 – 2/4/2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Lowell Richard Hendricks, son of William "Base" and Minnie Blanche Hendricks. On the evening of February 4th, he left this world knowing, without a doubt, how deeply he was loved-and with the quiet confidence that we would carry on, just as he taught us, with strength, laughter, and an unwavering focus on what truly matters: family, faith, love, and appreciating the simple joys of life. Lowell will always remain in our hearts as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all.
Born in Brigham City, Utah, Lowell was one of four children and the last of his beloved siblings to leave this world. From a young age, he had a curious mind and a knack for solving problems-traits that would shape his remarkable life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a cryptographer, a role that suited his sharp intellect and love for deciphering the world's mysteries. After his service, he built a career with Eastman Kodak, where he worked until his retirement. But his true legacy was not in his profession-it was in the way he lived, loved, and embraced the people around him.
To know Lowell was to be wrapped in warmth, wisdom, and humor. He had a joke or witty retort for every occasion, a brilliant mind that could solve any problem, and a heart big enough to embrace the world. No one remained a stranger for long-whether by birth or by choice, he was "Grandpa" to everyone. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Noel, and his son, Bradley. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Ima Jean; his loving children, Craig, Sabrina, Andrew, and Shaun; and a vast legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless others who were blessed to be "adopted" into the fold. His love knew no boundaries, and his presence made every gathering feel like home.
Fishing was one of his greatest joys, a pastime that brought him peace and connection with those he loved. Whether casting a line by the 10E Buoy or sharing stories on the Uggy Duck, he found happiness in the simple moments-always reminding us to slow down, appreciate the beauty around us, and, most importantly, to play.
A Funeral Service will be held on February 14th at 11:00 a.m. in Kanarraville, Utah (80 South Main Street, Kanarraville, UT 84720), where we will honor his memory the way he would have wanted-together, with laughter, love, and stories that remind us of the remarkable man he was and the quick wit he had.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find peace in knowing that his love surrounds us still, in every hug, every joke, and every moment we choose to embrace life with the same warmth and joy that he did.
Rest easy, Grandpa. We will carry your light forward.
He will be Interred on Saturday, February 15th at 11:00 am at the Willard City Cemetery- 550 N. Main St. Willard, Utah 84340

I am sorry to hear of Lowell's passing. He is a great man and helped me out alot. I will never forget him. I met Lowell in Feb. 1994. I purchased 5 acres in mountain springs and was at the sales office with Monte Tipton, the project manager. Lowell was there, Blaine Lundquist, Tom Burke, and Leroy "coach" Reading. We were receiving our instuctions as new property owners. We introduced our selves and became good friends and neighbors. Without Lowell the mountain springs water company would have been in trouble. He became president. Head mechanic, and the all around go to guy. He ,Tom, and Blaine kept the wells working properly and running around the clock. Lowell dug my waterline and could work as hard as any man I have ever been around. We are thinking of you Jean and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. The Hadlocks, Rick "Haddy" and Dianne
