Loyal Alonzo Greenstreet

Loyal A Greenstreet, 85, passed away June 11, 2025. He was born April 2, 1940 to Delmer and Jennie Greenstreet in Castana, IA. After marrying the love of his life, Phyllis, in 1960, he joined the US Air Force. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after serving for 20 years. He then worked for the Department of Defense, Defense Contract Management Agency, as a Quality Assurance Inspector, inspecting jet engines at General Electric in Arkansas City, KS. Later, he relocated to The Boeing Company in Wichita, KS to inspect all military aircraft - including the VC-25 (known as Air Force One with the President aboard). He retired after 25 years in 2010. Loyal kept busy mowing and maintaining Ark Valley Christian Church and working on his family's vehicles. He loved the church and his cats and reminiscing about his childhood on the farm.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lois Jensen and Margaret Greenstreet. Survivors include his wife of 65 years Phyllis; children, Kelly Greenstreet, Kevin (Sandy) Greenstreet, David Greenstreet, Kerry Greenstreet; grandchildren, Nathan, Samantha, Kelsey, Benjamin, Joseph, Sydney, Tabitha, Jamie (Miranda), Leighton, Kelsi (Edgar), Kolby, Crystal, Liam; great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Chloe, Emiliano, Mateo, Leandro, Thiago, Davian, Nevaeh, Kandon, Addie, Miyah, Briella and great grandchild, Mavis.
Graveside service will be held Friday, June 20th, 10:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery, 10102 E 95th St S, Derby, KS 67037. Following the graveside, there will be a reception will be at the Ark Valley Christian Church, 3865 S Hydraulic St, Wichita, KS.
