Loyd Crowell

Loyd Wayne Crowell passed away at the age of 68 on February 11, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Born on December 30, 1957, Loyd was a man who embraced life's simple pleasures, devoting much of his time to reading, cooking, and caring for his beloved dogs.

Loyd served in the Army, where he developed a discipline that he carried throughout his life. His military service was a period of pride and significance, contributing to his strong sense of duty and community.

In retirement, Loyd found joy in baking pies every Mother's Day for his wife, Joyce, his daughter-in-law, Deanna, and her mother, Loretta. These moments underscored his love for family gatherings, where he was often the center of attention, regaling everyone with his lively stories and infectious laughter.

Loyd leaves behind his wife, Joyce Feller Mulsow, and his sisters, Cynthia Edgar of Tigard, of Oregon, and Cheryl Morrow of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Crowell and Lois Fleming.

A service to honor Loyd's life will be held on March 4, 2026, at 1 pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. In place of flowers, contributions can be made to any animal rescue organization, a nod to Loyd's deep love for animals.

Loyd's legacy is marked by his zest for life, love for his family, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. His memory will undoubtedly continue to inspire and bring smiles to the faces of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
