Mr. Loyde Stanley "Bud" Ledford, of Newport Tennessee, born June 1, 1938, went home to the Lord on April 9, 2023 at the age of 84.
He was a retired employee of Stokely Van-Camp and the Cocke County Landfill. He was an avid farmer and hard worker that loved his family more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Ledford; parents Clyde and Vergie Ledford and all six of his siblings.
He is survived by his children, Kay (Jimmy) Messer of Parrottsville, Junior Ledford (Mary Hale) of Newport and Scotty (Kim) Barnett of Morristown; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his special fur babies Sassy and Missy.
The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, April 12, 2023 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glen Ball and Pastor Gary Shropshire officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy & Brown funeral Home prior to the service. The family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2023, at Rays Chapel Cemetery for the 11 a.m. interment.
