Lt. Col. Richard A. Pelosi

78, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Denise A. (Klepadlo) Pelosi for 56 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Rose (Ravita) Pelosi.

Richard had a 39-year career with the 143rd Airlift Wing of the Rhode Island Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his military service, he also achieved his Bachelor’s Degree from Bryant University. 

Besides his wife Denise, Richard is survived by his loving sons, Richard R. Pelosi of Bellingham, MA and Gregory H. Pelosi and his wife Tanya of Lincoln; cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler Pelosi. He was the dear brother of Geraldine Cotoia, Lucille Volpe, Maria Riccitelli and the late Ronald Pelosi. He is also survived by six loving nieces and nephews. 

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Entombment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS will be held on FRIDAY MORNING from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
