On Monday, September 30, 2024 retired Onondaga Sheriff Lt. Curtis "Curt" Dailey tragically left us.
Curtis was born on September 18, 1957 to the late Darrell and Joyce Dailey and resided in the Baldwinsville area for most of his life. Curt retired from the Onondaga County Sheriff's Dept. in 2015 after nearly 31 years of service. Throughout his distinguished career he received numerous commendations and awards. Curt was a "motorhead" who loved to work in his garage and collect vehicles. He spent much of his free time riding his motorcycles and ATV's and working on his Jeep.
Curt will be missed immensely by family (US and England) and all that had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of honor, courage, compassion and sense of humor unmatched.
Curt is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Cara Dailey; sons, Brian Dailey and Anthony Trombley, daughter, Juliana Moon, brothers, Jerry Dailey and Bill Dailey, sister, Donna Northrup, grandchildren, Oliver, Ethan, Darian, Madison, Hailie, Emma, Colin, Zach and Grace. In addition to his parents, Curtis was predeceased by his son, Curtis Dailey, daughter, Heather Dailey, brothers, Larry & Kevin Dailey. Curt also leaves behind his 2 boxer babies Koda and Riley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
May you rest in peace with your parents, brothers and children: sorely missed but never forgotten.
