Lu Titus Obituary
He was born September 13, 1944 in Austin, MN to Edward and Arthamese Feeley Titus.
Surviving are his children, Dana (Doug) Sidwell of Rolla, MO, Tanya (Mike) Doolan of Washington, and Amy Hutchison of Washington; six grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, Melissa, Tyler, Conner, and Madeline; one great-granddaughter, Willow; and a sister, Joan (Dale) Anderson of Rose Creek, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Marilyn Sorensen, Jean Edge, Ardy Osmundson, David Titus, and Danny Titus.
After retiring from a 33-year career with Caterpillar, Lu continued to dedicate himself to serving others through his work at the Humana Service Center and Carle Health. His remarkable achievement of 55 years of sobriety stands as a testament to his strength and commitment, profoundly shaping his character and enabling him to offer comfort and support to those facing adversity or in need of a compassionate presence.
Lu's gentle spirit and steadfast devotion to his family will be deeply missed, and his kindness will remain cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
A formal Celebration of Life service will be held at a location outside of the state.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Illinois CancerCare Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
