Luana Ann Schneider

Luana Ann Schneider, 60, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Jacob Dandy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the funeral home. Luana was born July 11, 1965, in California, the daughter of William and Beverly (Wilcox) Ricketts. She was an artist and decorator and the co-founder and Executive Director of Tempered Steel, an organization dedicated to helping injured veterans. Luana had a deep love for painting, crafts, jewelry making, and collecting Australian Shepherds.

On May 1, 1993, she married Mike Schneider, who survives of the home. Additional survivors include her sons, Scott Stephenson, Michael Stephenson II and wife Kasey, and Addam Stephenson, all of Atchison, Kansas; step-children, Jonathan Schneider and partner Kelly Rose of Lansing, Kansas, Matt Schneider and wife Jessica of Goddard, Kansas, and Lauren Doyle and husband Tyler of Murdock, Kansas; brothers, David Ricketts and wife Christie of Belton, Missouri, and Earl Ricketts and wife Tammy of Cummings, Kansas; sister, Marsha Mills and husband Lenny of Englewood, Ohio; and grandchildren, Kathleen, Lorelei, Gabriella, Mason Schneider, Jayce Rose, Calvin, Hattie, Frank, Arthur, Helen, Joan Schneider, Akai Allen, Ashley, and Kay Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
