Luanne "Nan" Frey

Luanne "Nan" Frey, age 74 of Delaware, went to be with her Lord and Savior, in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 30, 2025 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville.
She was born on April 17, 1951 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Lloyd "Junior" and Betty (Firman) Vining. Nan graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1969. She would go on and attend the Mt. Carmel School of Nursing as well as the pharmacy residency program. Nan attended the Baptist church in Ostrander, Ohio as a young child. She was married in the Fall of 1969 to her husband Daniel. She participated in the women's bible study, volunteered at the International Guest House in Washington D.C. for two years. She loved to host a Christmas Party for her family and members from her local church every year.
Nan was a highly intelligent woman. She needed to be stimulated when it came to working, she needed to be learning and also held strong to her Christian Morals. Most notably though, she was a receptionist for Dr. Hirsch in Delaware, and an Administrative Assistant with The Ohio State University Medical offices.
Nan and Daniel never had children of their own, but Nan raised numerous children in her lifetime, whether it was her nieces and nephews, or the doctors she worked with, they entrusted Nan to help take care of and tend to their children.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two brothers, Jerry (Cindy) Vining and Neil (Tami) Vining, many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel, in 1979, sister, Donna Thrush, brother Jack Vining, and brother-in-law, Bob Thrush.
Nan enjoyed traveling anywhere in the continental US. She enjoyed canning, knitting and cooking for the holidays. Those close to Nan say that she was faithful, devoted, caring, spiritual and loving. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 6th, at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware, Ohio, 43015, with Funeral Celebrant Thomas Dea'therage officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services from 11:00 – 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the Sharon Mennonite Cemetery, 7675 Amity Pike, Plain City, Ohio 43064.
