My prayers and thoughts for Luc and his family

Luc was one of my favorite residents at the dorms of Cleveland State University. As his RA, I really appreciated his kindness and transparency. So many funny and light hearted memories come to mind when I think of him. He was such a bright light. There's so many things I could say, but words do not suffice. My love and thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

Getting to live in the dorms with Luc was truly a pleasure. Every time we crossed paths he would make me smile. Our routine was that, I would see him, he would bashfully ask my name and then proceed to ask how my dad was doing, as I had shared stories of him living as a commercial fisherman when Luc and I had met. Every time we interacted was lighthearted and much needed.

Thank you for supporting Luc as a student and sharing him with myself, his dorm mates, and his classmates at CSU. It's not often you get to feel such joy at the thought of a friend.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Devis family, friends and loved ones. I have known Luc since we attended St. Columbkille through our years together at Padua. May he continue to spread light and happiness to all. God bless.

Luc was a very special man. We at the Cleveland Catholic Worker got to know him over the last few months as he would stop by the CW storefront/soup kitchen and help wash dishes and clean up or sit and listen to folks' stories and share his own. He loved that...Our hearts are broken and our love and condolences go out to his family and friends.
Luc - you are a credit to humanity and salt-of-the-earth' to boot.

Luc was a fellow classmate of mine at Padua. Although we were never close friends, I cannot help but to think back at what a kind and friendly person Luc was to everyone he crossed paths with. He always had a huge smile on his face that radiated across the halls. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Rest easy fellow Bruin.

Dear Michael and Linda, I cannot imagine the heart break of losing a dear child but my heart goes out to you both. Knowing you for all these years makes me certain that you are wonderful parents. I will pray for your strength to get through this and keep you in my heart.

Luc was a special young man. It was a privilege to have been his teacher in middle school. My deepest sympathy to the entire Devis family. Know of my prayers for you. May you lean on God for strength and comfort. Know that Luc is now resting in the arms of Jesus.

I have only wonderful memories of Luc from his grade school years at Saint Columbkille School. The world indeed has been a better place because of his amazing generosity, positive outlook, kindly manner and gentle spirit. May he Rest In Peace in the Lord's loving care.
