Lucia Perez Mongia, 93, passed on to glory on September 25, 2025. Lucia was born on October 16, 1931 in School Land, TX to Simon Jr. and Olivia Perez. Lucia was raised in Texas and was a dedicated mother to her 10 children. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, sewing, crocheting, cooking, jigsaw puzzles and reading Psalm 91. Lucia is survived by her children: Marcella, Martin, Mike, Martha, Levardo, Jimmy, Margaret, Jo Ann, Dianne, and Pauline; 35 grandchildren: Yvonne, Lisa, Vanessa, Sam, Gabriel, Christina, Martin Jr., Isaac, Michael, Angie, Denise, Christopher, Vincent, Earnest, Kristin, Janine, Jonathan, Denise, Stephanie, Candice, Alyssa, Crystal, Valerie, Zenith, Victoria, Melissa, Sean, Ryan, Noah, Monica, Gabriel Jr., Gloria, Celeste, Celine and Sarah, 43 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Lucia leaves behind her siblings, Louie, Wanda & Mary, along with several nieces & nephews. Lucia was preceded in death by her daughter, Dora Mongia, two grandsons, Roy Laque & David Duarte, her parents, Simon Jr. & Olivia H. Perez, her brothers, Lee, Macedonio, Ilario (Larry), Eduardo (Eddie), Jose, Pedro, Pablo, and David Perez, paternal grandparents, Simon & Maria Perez, and maternal grandparents, Lorenzo & Carmen Herrera. Lucia will be missed by her family and friends.
