She is preceded in death by her father, Abraham Tamayo, Sr.; brother, Juan "Johnny" Tamayo; and nephew, Samuel Tamayo, Jr.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her mother, Lucia "Lucy" Tamayo; her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Edward Prather; three sons, Michael Hall, James John (Denyse) Prather, Kenneth Edward (Erika) Prather III; one daughter, Ashley Marie Prather; twelve grandchildren; four brothers, Abran, Jr., Albert, Sam, and John; and one sister, Tammy.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St., with a burial to follow to Las Rusias Cemetery in Las Rusias, Texas.
