Luciano Pettorelli Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home - Highwood on Jan. 13, 2026.
Luciano E. Pettorelli, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. He was born on December 13, 1939, in S'Anna Pelago, Modena, Italy, to the union of Noe Pettorelli and Teodolinda Manfredini.

Luciano immigrated to the United States in 1960, bringing with him a strong work ethic, deep pride in his heritage, and a lifelong dedication to family. On June 1, 1963, he married the love of his life, Linda Linari, at St. James Church in Highwood, Illinois. Together they built a beautiful life grounded in love, tradition, and devotion.

Luciano was a skilled bricklayer and stonemason, proudly working for Linari Construction Company, where his craftsmanship and dedication were evident in every project he touched. He was a proud member of the Modenesa Society and the Bocce Ball Club, where he found joy in camaraderie, culture, and friendly competition.

He was a beloved husband to Linda Pettorelli; a loving father to Morris (Karla) Pettorelli of Germany, Michael (Sheila) Pettorelli of Libertyville, and David (Jeannine) Pettorelli of Deerfield; and a cherished Nonno to Jonas, Yana and Mia Pettorelli, who were the light of his life.

Luciano is also survived by his dear sister: Franca (late Vittorio) Barigazzi of Highland Park, and his brothers Ivo (Teresa) Pettorelli of Lincolnshire and the late Mario (late Catherine) Pettorelli of Italy.

Luciano will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his pride in his Italian roots, his strong hands that built so much for others, and his generous heart. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply.

Services will be private.
