I have fond memories of Mrs. Bowles as my guidance counselor at Huguenot Academy and was sad to hear of her passing. She was always supportive, compassionate, and encouraging. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear of this great loss. She was a wonderful lady and dedicated wife. I want to thank the people of Powhatan for the YEARS of care and love that you gave to Julian and Lucie Ann. My grandfather and Lucie Ann's father were brothers. Julian will again see the love of his life and she hers. Tommy and Alice Joy and her many friends...OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY

We ALL loved Lucie Ann here at Southerland Place. She always greeted us with her smile, a giggle, and lots of hugs. We will miss her tinkering on the piano. What a HUGE impact this little lady had on all of us. She will be greatly missed.

One of the great ladies of Powhatan has left us, but the wonderful memories she leaves behind will be shared by students of all ages. She lived her lesson of life for all to see.
God now has another musican to play the piano in his Heavenly band.
