Lucie Calixte was born in Port-De-Paix, Haiti on March 2, 1962 to Mr. & Mrs. Luximond and Delanie Calixte.

She was one of seven daughters and part of a tight knit and loving family that always remained close. The importance of family is a trait that she carried, instilled and exhibited daily as she formed her own.

A headstrong individual since childhood, Lucie was determined to build on the Calixte name while carving her own path.

This path included leaving home and following several of her sisters to the Bahamas, having two kids there (Obed & Josias), before ultimately moving to Florida and having her last child, Lucia.

Lucie spent 33 years in Florida, working in the hospitality industry by day while being an always present mother.

As a woman deeply rooted in faith, when she was not working, she was in her Bible or at church praising and volunteering. Aside from church, she spent considerable time sewing or learning - even going to night-school to learn English and more about America.

On Monday, November 10, 2025, Lucie entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father. She transitioned how she wanted at home and in the proximity of her loved ones. Though she is no longer physically here with us, her spirit, joy, lessons and memories live on. It brings us peace knowing that she is with God, our Father in Heaven, the Alpha & Omega.

Lucie Calixte leaves to cherish in her blessed memories: Her Sons: Obed Calixte & Josias Calixte; Her Daughter: Lucia Calixte; Her Sisters: Yvette Calixte, Leone Calixte & Clorene Calixte and a host of other relatives and friends.
