Lucien Carver “LC” Anderson, age 88, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on July 6, 2024. Lucien was born on June 25, 1936 to the late Alexander and Goldie Anderson in Nashville, Tennessee.
LC attended Hendersonville High School and after his graduation, attended David Lipscomb University.
LC served his country in the United States Army, but never was deployed.
LC was a recent member of the Shackle Island Church of Christ and longtime member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ.
LC was a member of the Jaycees in Springfield, Tennessee and was a past president of the Rotary Club of Springfield, as well.
LC was an accomplished singer. He enjoyed boating and being on the water. He even hosted the judges in the mid 80s for the Old Hickory Lake Sailboat Regatta. LC also enjoyed photography, loved RVing, and traveling to the beach and mountains. He was an avid bird watcher. LC also collected coins.
In addition to his parents, LC is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy A. Scruggs; and his granddaughter, Jessica Slate.
LC is survived by his loving wife of 64 and a half years, Lucy B. Anderson; his sister, Mary A. Chunn (Gary); his children, Michael D. Anderson, Amy A. Slate, and Stephen A. Anderson (Jill); his grandchildren, Austin Anderson, Ashley Lansing, Abbey Anderson, Joseph Beech, Joshua Slate, Jordan Corbitt, Alexandra “Ally” Anderson, and Jenna Grace Anderson. He is also survived by his five great grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation for Mr. Anderson will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075). A celebration of life will be held on July 11, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Lucien “LC” Anderson’s honor.
