Lucien Walker, Jr., of Texas City passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the age of 89. Lucien was born April 14, 1935 in Luling, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.
Lucien was a graduate of Texas City High School, class of 1955. He served in the US Army. He was a union heavy equipment operator through Local 450 for many years. He married the love of his life, Jessie Louise Jones on December 21, 1961. In retirement he enjoyed his woodwork, painting and driving out to the Texas City Dike. He was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.
Lucien is survived by his brother, Jerry Walker, Sr; son, Allan Walker and wife, Ann; granddaughters, Tiffany Hatcher, Whitney Hatcher and fiancé Christopher, Megan Hewitt and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Collin, Rylan and Colton Goodwin, Lane Cooley, Kash Gonzalez, Emily and Genevieve Hewitt as well as close family friend, Kay Deman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucien Walker, Sr. and Marie Etiennette Klibert; wife, Jesse Louise (Jones) Walker; sister, Mary Hooper-Manwell; brothers, Clifford Walker, Floyd Walker and son, Ricky Walker.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024 with a visitation from 5:00 -6:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
