Lucille Beck Bridenstine Chambers peacefully departed this world at the age of 90, on December 19, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. We as a family feel blessed and comforted to have the knowledge that she has returned to her Heavenly Father and many beloved family members.

Lucille was the oldest child of Grant Monsen and Erma Pratt Beck. She was born December 30, 1933, and raised in Aberdeen, Idaho. Lucille and her brothers, Melvin and Howard Beck, were blessed to live across the street from Grant’s brother, Bruce Beck, and Erma’s sister, Edna Pratt Beck, and their children, Ila, Joy, Vivianne, Jay, Trish, Mark, and Carol. This made the Beck-Pratts double cousins. Both families enjoyed working together on the farms, boating and swimming at the boat dock, and going to school together from elementary to graduating from Aberdeen High School. While at Aberdeen High, Lucille met Roy Harold Bridenstine Jr, who she later married in 1954.

Roy served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. They were stationed in Washington State and then transferred to Layton, Utah where they made their home. Roy worked at Hill Airforce Base as a mechanic and Lucille spent her time raising their children, Danny, David, and Tony. Roy and Lucille divorced in 1974. Lucille was a very dedicated mother supporting her boys in their education, scouting, friends, and family activities.

On September 29, 1979, Lucille married Lowell D. Chambers. They established their home in Ogden, Utah. She gained four daughters and a son, Susan, Cindy, Brent, Cay, and Cristen.

Together, Lowell and Lucille enjoyed many great trips to Lake Powell. They loved boating at Pine View, playing golf, snow skiing at Snow Basin and many fun activities with their combined families, children, and grandchildren.

Lucille loved to keep up on the latest styles in fashion and home decor. She liked to rearrange the furnishings. She enjoyed shopping, even if she didn’t end up buying something. Working in the yard and planting flowers in pots was fun for her. It was probably being raised on the farm that instilled her love for gardening. She took pride in her clothes, hair, and nails. She wanted to look her best. She also took very good care of Lowell and kept a very tidy, organized home.

Lucille worked with Lowell at his business, Chambers Vend-a-matic. In the beginning she was a route person, but eventually became the Office Manager. They worked in vending together for many years. After they sold their business, Lucille chose to work two days a week as a Compliance Officer for Danny’s development company. She enjoyed working with all the associates and with Amy and Trish in Accounting. She continued to work there until becoming ill two months ago.

Lucille will be greatly missed by her husband, Lowell Dee Chambers, her sons, Danny (Pamela) Bridenstine, David (Melinda) Bridenstine, Anthony “Tony” (Ann) Bridenstine and Susan (Rick) Casteel, Cindy (Mike) Farr, Brent (Jill) Chambers, Catherine “Cay” Chambers, and Cristen (Dennis) Hurst, and all the grandchildren.

Funeral services to remember and celebrate Lucille will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ward Chapel, 1401 Country Hills Drive, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

A family dinner will follow the services, venue still to be confirmed. RSVP for dinner to Tony Bridenstine 801-430-5641.
