Lucille "Lou" Elizabeth Davis

Great aunt Lou was my birthday buddy... I was born on a June 8th nearly 70 years after her but it was always a special thing to have in common with her My siblings and I spent some of the happiest spring breaks at her and Uncle Wilbur´s condo in Hot Springs - boating, going to the horse races, playing with their chihuahuas, etc. We also loved visiting their house in El Dorado and receiving the best of comforts - I can still hear her voice calling us "darlin" and raving over how beautiful / handsome we were. Lou and all her sisters have always had the best styles, the best dishes and baked goods, but most importantly the most generous and loving hearts. We will miss her dearly and continue to pray that her and Wilbur are reunited in the light of God´s face.

My first memories of Aunt Lou were when we lived in El Dorado, I was 5-6yrs old, she would pick us up every day after she got off work. My brother & I would go to her house, after getting an icee at the convenience store nearby, and play, watch tv, eat some good treats before she'd take us home. If either of us misbehaved during the day, my mom would call to tell her not to pick us up. I also have the best memories of her when we visited during summers, after moving to NLR. Janet, Donna, Tony & I would spend a week every summer at her house. We had the best time!! Sometimes she took us on a trip, a couple with Uncle Wilbur & some with just her.
