Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends: which includes her schoolmate Jean Cassada who was a dear friend and troublemaker with "Cellee" when they were together. Thank you all for your love and friendship throughout her life.
Lucille and husband Robert, were fortunate to own a cottage on Wellesley Island and it was a labor of love for them. Together they worked hard to maintain the cottage and were gracious to host many family and friends throughout the years. Many golf outings, cookouts, bonfires, fishing, card games, cooking stories and Happy hours were had and created lasting memories for all.
Lucille had a great passion for sewing and knitting. She continued this activity into her nineties. She created hand knit sweaters for many family members as well as quilted bedspreads and wall hangings, which are now lasting memories for all that received them.
Lucille also used her knitting skills to help the homeless. Throughout her 80's and 90's she was on a mission to keep the less fortunate stay warm by providing them with hats and mittens. She provided hundreds of handmade items to shelters in the Rochester and Greece community. She received recognition for this effort and it put a smile on her face to know that she was able to help people.
In Lucille's final months she was at the Blossom Health Care Center and the family would like to extend a grateful "Thank You" to the many staff members, doctor and nurses who cared for her during this time and appreciate efforts to keep her comfortable.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to keep the tradition Lucille created and work to help the less fortunate stay fed and keep warm. Please donate to your favorite local charity or volunteer to make someone's life better. And remember as you do that Lucille is smiling down from above.
Although Lucille is gone from earth she will live on in our hearts and in the hearts of all of her extended family and friends. A new angel will be watching over us all.
At this time the family is planning on having a Ceremony of Life for Lucille in March of 2026. Information will be posted here at a later date
