Knabenbauer, Lucille B.

Age 89, Loving wife and mother, died peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Lucille was born in Menasha on March 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Raymond and Viola (Goeser) Ulrich. A life-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton, she married the late Jerome “Jerry” Knabenbauer on November 24, 1938. Lucille will be remembered for her love of doing crafts, especially knitting, crocheting and ceramics.
Lucille was the loving mother of seven; James Knabenbauer of Neenah, Ronald Knabenbauer of Green Bay, Michael Knabenbauer of Hancock, WI, Alan Knabenbauer of Jacksonville, FL, Stephen Knabenbauer of Oregon, and Sandra Maynard of North Carolina; grandmother of 21, great-grandmother of 15, great-greatgrandmother of 7; and sister, Lois Dahl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; and her daughter, Elizabeth “Beth.”
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Appleton Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton, with Fr. Michael K. O'Rourke officiating. Entombment will follow.
The family extends a special thank you to Aurora Visiting Nurses Hospice Care, especially Bev, for their compassionate and professional care. Further, a very special thank you to Lucille's grandson, Jason, for his personal care of his grandmother.
