Lucille “Lu” Fullmer left this world to rejoin her heavenly father on January 2, 2025, after a being home on hospice for approximately two and a half years. She was preceded in death by her mother Eva Bernice Wiggle and father Charles Vernon Fullmer. She is survived in death by her two daughters and their husbands, Leola Marie Ellis and Matthew Ellis and Sara Elizabeth Kelso and Kris Kelso, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Lu was an artist, musician, singer, actress, poet, linguist, and a scholar. She loved to draw and paint. She played piano, drums, flute, mellophone, trumpet, recorder, fiddle, violin, and a zither but her instrument of choice was always the viola. She spoke multiple languages fluently including, Spanish, German, Dutch and a hand full of others that she would say “I can get by”. She sang in every choir she could find, she loved to sing hymns, opera, and many other genres of music from many different eras including playing a five-string fiddle in a blue grass group.

She spent many years studying at BYU and spent some time at Rexburg College, where she studied primarily music and theater.

Lu loved to learn new things, meet new people and travel. She embraced diversity in all things including cultures, music, religions, peoples and places. She left behind a legacy of love and joy in all things and would tell you if all else fails, just sing.

Lu was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a Girl Scout in her youth and a member of The Daughter’s of Utah Pioneers. As a member of the LDS church, she enjoyed being involved in her communities, performing volunteer work, working with the primary children, singing in the choirs, playing musical accompaniment and working with the relief society.
