Lucille Joyce Meinecke (Zbranek) was born on November 19, 1937 in Latium, Texas to Mary Breitkreutz and Pete Zbranek. She attended County Line School in Latium and later Brenham High School.
Immediately after the graduation ceremonies, Lucille moved to Houston to live with her brother. Within one week of moving to Houston, Lucille found a job as a stenographer for Grand Prize Brewery. Lucille married Melvin Meinecke on September 16, 1956, in Greenvine, Texas.
They moved to South Houston, Texas where Lucille worked as a secretary for several years until dedicating herself to first, (son) Mark, and later on (daughter)Mary.
After her husband retired, they moved back to Brenham where they spent time on their farm and went dancing.
Lucille's interests were dancing and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Meinecke. She is survived by: Mark and Tammy Meinecke as well as Mary Meinecke and Polo Andrade as well as her grandchildren, Alex, Brett, Daniel, Lauren, and Ryan.
Visitation will be prior to service from 10-11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24 and the service will be at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will be at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
