Lucille G. "Lucy" Milz

1930 - 2023

Edgerton, WI - Lucille "Lucy" G. Milz, age 93, of Edgerton, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born in Grantsburg, IN on May 8, 1930, the daughter of Olvin and Martha (Shrout) Hanover. She married Paul Milz in 1949, later divorcing in 1964, but still remained friends. Lucy and Paul operated the Union Tavern for many years. She then made a career as a CNA for Rock Haven for 22 years until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, birdwatching and working in her garden. She loved her neighbors. Lucy was a very caring person and her family was her world. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton.

Lucy is survived by 4 children: Jerry (Jan) Henrikson of Madison, Judy (Danny) Booker of Anderson, SC, Steve (Holly) Milz of Janesville and Dan (Jennifer) Milz of Evansville; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Milz; grandchildren: Brien Booker, Shannon Ringhand, James Milz and Erin Brinker; and sister, Marcella.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
