Lucille Adina Nelson quietly went on to rest on June 15, 2023, at the age of 91. She was at her home in North Chesterfield, VA with her family and church family by her side.
She was born in St Mary Jamaica, and later migrated to the United States, where she spent most of her working years at the New England Memorial Hospital, Stoneham, Massachusetts until she retired. She was a participating member of the Lynn/Salem Ma Seventh Day Adventist Church. After retirement she moved to Virginia to spend the remainder of her years with her family. She then transferred to the Ephesus Adventist Church, Richmond VA.
She loved to laugh and enjoyed lighting up a room with her presence. Her family and friends meant a lot to her. She adored cooking, spending time in her garden, and had a passion for helping others. Her bible and her faith held a special place in her heart.
She was born to loving parents Merdina Grant and Claus Grant (Deceased) and is the last of 13 siblings. She leaves to cherish her only daughter Merna Wilson (Joy), Grand Children, Clothile Wilson, Terrell Chavis, Kanisha Wilson, and Deanta Wilson, five great grandchildren Armond Wilson, Deanna Wilson, Mekhi Wilson, Bryce Wilson and Jayce Wilson. Her grandnephew Vaughan Bryan, Niece Gail King and a long list of nieces, nephew, grand and great grand, nieces, nephews.
A celebration of Lucille's life will be held at the Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, 
Richmond, Virginia 23224 on (June 23 2023) at (11:00AM). In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Ephesus Adventist Church food pantry.
