It is hard to believe that you left us a year ago. Much has changed since but the constant has been that we all miss you and love you.

Mom I miss you so much. My only relief is that you are delivered from your pain and struggles. You were so good to me and Scott and Troy. Our kids will really miss their Grandma. The days that go by don't seem to make is easier.I remember getting up at night crying for you because I was afraid that you'd die and now you are gone and it's so hard. I will miss you until we see each other again in Glory with Jesus.

Dear Gordy,
Just heard from Al about Lu- we were so sorry to hear of her passing. I will always be thankful we met you and Lu at Northridge- Lu was a good friend to my mom Barb Veenstra. I will always treasure my memories of Lu her sweet smile, her kind heart, and her love for the Viking games we always saw you watching together on Sunday afternoons. Gordy you are in our thoughts and prayer.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Tiedens Family: It has been so long since I've seen your family, but have often thought how wonderful and kind Mrs. Tiedens was. I always enjoyed babysitting for your family. Know that Mrs. Tiedens is happy in heaven and waiting for all of us.

Dear Gordy, Robin, Scott, Troy and all the family,

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Lu. We have many fond memories of time spent as your neighbors and friends! We remember fun times and yummy food at your house. Lu was truly an inspiration to many, many people and all the love that she had for her foster babies!

Dear Gordy & Family,
Celebrating a life that Lu well lived until her illness. We will cherish the memories of Lu forever. To my very active cousin, "Lu", you were always the party spirit which we will all miss. You touched so many hearts with all the babies that you tenderly held in your heart and cared for. We will be thinking of YOU and family on Monday in thought, word and deed. Some day we will be united again.

What a wonderful tribute to Lou to have memorials go to Lutheran Social Services. No one could have been a better foster mother than Lou in loving all those babies she took into her home and her heart.
