Cindy Rafter, 66, of Sheridan, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2025.

Born to Linda Davis, formerly Pettibone & the late Duane Pettibone, Cindy grew up in Pleasant Grove, where she trained horses under direction of her father.

She married Clint Rafter in 1980. Together, with their son Casey, born 1982, they settled in Sheridan in 1989.

Cindy was a creative entrepreneur, repairing horse tackle, selling purses made from books, and producing an assortment of pepper jelly, salsa, pickled vegetables & sauces. She devoted much of her life to the family farm, caring for sheep, poultry and a loyal crew of cats and dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Clint; her son, Casey; and her mother, Linda Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Pettibone, and brothers Curt and Rick Pettibone.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of your passing. I was expecting to see you this Saturday at the Sheridan Fall Festival, I wanted to buy some of your jellies for gifts. The town will miss your greatly.
