Lucinda Laabs Obituary
A proud graduate with a high school diploma, she devoted her career to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later as a housekeeper at Parkview Health Center. Cindy was a true artisan, known for her skills in ceramics, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She brought joy to everyone around her with her infectious smile and generous spirit. For family gatherings, she enjoyed making large meals for all of her family.
On May 24, 1952, Cindy married the love of her life, Lawrence Laabs. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with adventure, particularly enjoying the journeys they took when Lawrence delivered cars for Bergstrom. Lucinda's love extended beyond her family; she had a special fondness for animals, particularly her dogs, chickens, cows, and the horses she lovingly cared for.
Cindy is survived by her sons, Gregory (Roberta) Laabs, Steven (Lynn) Laabs, Gary Laabs, Randal (Stephanie Kuchinka) Laabs; daughter, Tami Laabs-Jones as well as many nieces, nephews. and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, son, Daniel; five brothers, Al, Johnny, Roland, Bill, & Frankie Deuel; and son-in-law, George Jones
Cindy was entombed at Lake View Memorial Park and her life was celebrated on June 14, 2025.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bella Vista as well as the staff of St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Cindy.
