Lucinda (Mendonca) Silveira, age 90 of Taunton, passed away just one day after her birthday at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Orlando Silveira.
Lucinda was born in Flores, Azores she was the daughter of the late Jose and Ana (Freitas) Mendonca.
Before retiring, Mrs. Silveira was employed as an electronics assembler.
Lucinda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She was also proud of her Portuguese heritage and was a devout Catholic. Most of all she was a loving and caring person who will be missed by many.
Besides her beloved husband Orlando, Mrs. Silveira is survived by her loving son Armando Silveira, grandmother of Alex, Krista, George, Emily, Debbie, Jesica and Jamie, great-grandmother of Avarie, JB, Malia, Justin, Aviana, Magnolia, calliope and Ashley.
She was the mother of the late Jose Silveira, Manny Silveira, Lucinda Silveira and Tina Silveira, grandmother of the late Tara Silveira, and sister of the late Teresa Freitas.
Mrs. Silveira’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 8am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church School Street in Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
