Lucretia was born August 1, 1946, in Mandan to Mike Erhardt and Eva (Geiger) Erhardt. She was raised and educated in Center, ND. After graduation, she moved to Mandan where she met and married Jim (James) Dirk on May 4, 1968. Jim and Lucretia lived in Mandan after they were married until 1991 when they relocated to Zap, ND. Together they had four children, Dale, Dana, Bob, and Kelly. Jim passed away in August of 2015. She then moved back to Mandan. Over the years Lucretia worked at several different jobs, but most enjoyed the years she spent at home taking care of her family.
Lucretia was an avid reader, and when she was not reading, she enjoyed crocheting, working with plastic mesh and other crafts. Many people left her house or were gifted with mug rug or a set of potholders. Lucretia was an excellent German cook and enjoyed getting together to make meals with her family. Her grandchildren will long remember her ramnoodla, cheese buttons, and fleishkuchle and many other family members will miss her potato salad. She loved animals and was especially attached to her cat Kiki. Lucretia was a lifetime member of The Women of the Moose and was also a member of The Homemakers for many years and she also did many a road trip with the Red Hats Club. She had such a kind heart and a warm smile that touched so many lives.
Lucretia will be deeply missed by her children Dale (Mari Kay) Dirk; Dana (Dan) Dirk; Bob (Lori) Dirk; and Kelly Dirk; four grandchildren Tate (Mikaila), Cassy (Mitch), Sam (Cody), and Morgan; one great-grandchild, Ryker; two sisters Kathy (Rodney) Friesz and Mary (Kevin) Donovan; sisters-in-law Mary Erhardt, Phyllis Dirk, Gloria Dirk, Sandy Dirk, Bonnie Miller, Andreen O\u0027Neill, Annette (Pat) Yauney, and Debbie (Paul) Martin; brother-in law Les (Lynette) Dirk; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
