Lucy Gordon Potter

I´m so very sorry to hear just today of Lucy´s passing. I wanted to share this memory with you. Lucy was instrumental from 2020-2021 in helping me to become the legal guardian/conservator of an elderly homeless man in Hartford who I had taken under my wing. I then took care of him until his death last year. Through an article I wrote for newspapers in Puerto Rico, I finally found his great niece and nephews, and upon his death returned his ashes to be buried alongside his mother in Juana Diaz. My buddy´s family has now "adopted" me as a member of their own family, and most recently visited to march with me in the 2025 Hartford Puerto Rican parade, representing Ponce PR. All of this would not have happened without Lucy´s persistent efforts over the course of a year to make sure that I had legal rights to care for my elderly buddy. Rest in Peace Lucy, your soul is eternally blessed by bringing such joy and comfort to others , Jennifer Pardus.
