It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lucy Jones Salazar, 66, of Teec Nos Pos, Arizona passed away on May 14, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Lucy was born on April 11, 1959, to the late Ben and Daisy Jones. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Lucy was born to clan Tt’izi lání and born for clan Bitáhnii.
Lucy married Delphine Salazar on December 13, 1997, and together they shared 27 years of marriage and had 43 years of love and companionship.
Lucy was a remarkable woman who brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She cherished the time spent with her husband, daughter, and grandson, and was known for her good humor and positivity, even in tough situations. Lucy had a playful spirit, often teasing her friends and relatives, and she loved traveling. Her presence was a source of warmth and happiness for all her friends and family.
Her warm spirit and unwavering strength touched all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Lucy is preceded in death by her son Gerald Joe, parents Daisy Jones and Ben Jones Todechine and brother Roger Joe.
Lucy is survived by her husband Delphine Salazar, daughter Augusta Salazar, brothers Dewayne Billsie, Wesley Billsie, sister Betty Mays, and grandson Romeo Domingo- Salazar.
