St. Martinville- A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, 10:30 am at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville for Lucy Champagne Bertrand Segura, 80, who passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Wednesday.
Rev. Michael Keith Landry will officiate the memorial service.
Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Lucy loved with her whole heart, especially her children and grandchildren! She enjoyed all of the time she was able to spend with them. She loved to make others laugh and was always cracking jokes. Her vibrant and humorous nature kept everyone happy! She will be missed by so many!
She is survived by her children, Angie (Sonny) Bourque and Matthew (Paula) Bertrand; grandchildren, Natalie (Sean) Thibodeaux, Carly Bourque, Anna Bertrand and Sara Bertrand; great-grandchildren, Ryan Thibodeaux and Owen Thibodeaux; and her sisters, Pearl Bienvenue and Sheryl Barras.
She is preceded in death by her husband Burnice Segura, Sr.; parents Louis and Maude Thibodeaux Champagne; brother, Ronald Champagne; brother-in-law, Wiltz Bienvenue; sister-in-law, Ellen Champagne; and nephew, Buck Barras.
Her son-in-law Sonny Bourque will serve as pallbearer.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hope Hospice for helping during this difficult time.
