Ludwig Schneider Obituary

Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 6, 2025, just weeks shy of his 89th birthday. Father of Jeffrey (Melissa) Schneider and Sharon (Rob) Baxley; proud grandfather of Katie, Robbie, Jenna, and Hayley; doting great-grandfather of Reagan and Beau. Relatives and friends may call at the BORGWARDT FUNERAL HOME, 4400 Powder Mill Rd., Beltsville, MD on Sunday, July, 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11007 Montgomery Rd., Beltsville, MD on Monday, July 14, at 10 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the above named church OR a charity of your choice.

I just realized that I have known Ludy for 51 years. I and many others worked with him at the White House and at the Executive Greenhouse. The first time we met, we talked for at least a half hour. Ludy was a wonderful person. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and all who knew him.
