Ludwig Lochen Obituary
Ludwig Henry Lochen passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his home in Marty, MN on November 27, 2023. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake, MN. A visitation will be held prior from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Ludwig was born on July 2, 1932 to Ludwig Lochen and Anna Lochen in Watkins, MN. He graduated from Kimball Area high School in 1950, and married Lucille Raymond on May 21, 1955 in Sauk Rapids, MN, and they spent their lives together in Marty.
Ludwig was a member of multiple boards and community organizations throughout his life. He enjoyed snowmobiling, collecting model cars, and inventing and creating. He loved animals and waterskiing – he was the first person ever to waterski on Pearl Lake. Ludwig did not give up on waterskiing until he was 75 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lucille Lochen; his children Lyle (Lori) Lochen of Albany, Lisa (Greg) Linde of Minnetonka, Vic (Debbie) Lochen of Marty, Dave (Jayne) Lochen of Marty, and Keith (Brenda) Lochen of St. Cloud; his 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and his beloved cat Reno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Anna.
