Visitation for Luis Gonzales, 61 will begin 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel. 

On November 11, 2024, Luis went to be with the Lord. He was born April 4, 1963, in Brownfield to the late Ignacio and Erlinda Gonzalez. Luis was a dedicated Excavator and his commitment to his craft was evident to everyone he worked with. His passions extended beyond his career, whether cheering for The Dallas Cowboys, enjoying cookouts, playing wall ball, or simply just being surrounded by his family Luis embraced life with zeal, constantly capturing the moments that others might overlook. A deeply loving grandfather, he cherished every moment spent with his seven grandchildren

He was a man of his word, earning the respect of those fortunate enough to cross his path, and was a very serious beloved man. Luis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ignacio and Erlinda Gonzalez

He is survived by his son Luis Gonzales Jr. (Elizabeth) of Lubbock; two daughters Venessa Gonzales Sosa of Hawkins and Victoria Gonzales of Lubbock; sister Sylvia Cortez of Lubbock; His loving companion Aura Tanya Soliz of Lubbock; seven grandchildren.
