Luis Erevia Peralez, born in Rosebud, Texas, to Mauricio Peralez and Virginia Erevia, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and the faith that guided his life.
Luis was a simple man who found joy in the little things and adventure in every moment. He loved riding roller coasters, walking throughout Lubbock, and dancing whenever he had the chance. His spirit was full of life, and his smile and laughter brought light to everyone around him.
He was a man with an enormous heart—kind, selfless, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Deeply rooted in his Catholic faith, Luis was devoted to prayer and active in the church, where his compassion and faithfulness were an inspiration to others.
Luis’s greatest gift was the love he gave to his family. Though he had no children of his own, he was a father figure to his many nieces and nephews, offering them guidance, protection, and unconditional love. His legacy will live on through the generations he nurtured and the lives he touched with his gentle strength and kindness.
Luis will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his deep faith, and his boundless heart. He leaves behind a family and community forever grateful for the love and care he gave so freely.
He is survived by his brother, Lazaro (Elida) Peralez of Kansas, and his numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mauricio and Virginia Peralez, and other siblings.
A visitation will be held at St. Phillip Benizi in Idalou from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday along with a rosary at 6:30 PM, November 5, 2025. Funeral service will begin at 10 am on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at St. Phillip Benizi in Idalou. A burial will follow to Idalou Cemetery.
