Luke Combs Jr.

Luke Combs Jr, age 92, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on February 24, 2023, at Vintage Care Senior Living in Palatka, Florida. He was born April 22, 1930, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Luke Combs Sr. and Elizabeth Combs.
Luke served his country in the United State Air Force as a Military Policeman and was stationed at Moses Lake AFB, Moses Lake, Washington. Luke married the love of his life, Mary Lou Combs, on January 5, 1960 and moved his family to Baker County in May of 1975. Luke enjoyed his career as a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines where he retired in 1985. He also was an avid golfer his entire life and enjoyed playing golf in Greyhound tournaments as well as with his friends and family. He enjoyed watching the Florida Gators play and often enjoyed driving charter buses to Gainesville, Florida for the UF Gator Football games. Luke loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou Combs; and two sisters.
Luke is survived by his sons, Paul (Brenda) Griffin, of Micanopy, Florida; Robin (Gina) Combs, of Lake Wales, Florida; Delbert (Carolyn) Combs, of Macclenny, Florida; and daughter, Renee (Todd) Arzie, of Keystone Heights, Florida. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside, 7242 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation will be a Graveside Service at 3:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 where military honors will be rendered.
