Luke was a good friend. He always wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. He always knew how to talk to light up a room and make everyone feel great. He would strike up conversations with people he hardly knew talking to them like he´s known them for years. I remember dancing with Luke whenever his favorite songs came on when we were together or how he liked to order big orders of Taco Bell. His laugh will always be something I cherish. Rest easy luke

I didn´t know Luke Morrow well, but what I remember most is the quiet kindness he extended especially being the new kid in North Bend. There was a camaraderie that came with sports-an unspoken agreement where everyone, even the outsiders, had a place. I never once felt uneasy around Luke.

I´ll never forget a simple moment in PE class, playing hoops. Somehow, the conversation turned to touching the rim. Instead of doubting me, assuming my height would be a limit, Luke said, "You can probably touch the rim." His belief in my ability, a stranger´s belief, made all the difference. It wasn´t just about basketball-it was about seeing potential rather than limitations.

We could use more people like Luke in this world, people who see the good in others, even when they´re unknown. Although I may have moved away from Oregon and we lost touch, I hope Luke carried that belief with him throughout his life. The world needs it now more than ever.

What a gift it is to know Luke. I met Luke in 7th grade and was lucky enough to have him as a close friend 30 years later. Back then, we used to cruise around town in his Honda, but our favorite thing was to take a road trip to Eugene. Some of my favorite childhood memories are from that time. Luke loved to talk about his next great travel adventure and of course, the love of his life - Sarah. I will miss his incredible beaming smile and his humor. He was always bragging about his kids and loves them infinitely. Sending all my strength and love to his family and friends.
