On October 1st, the world lost a one-of-a-kind original. A man so many of us looked up to, were inspired by, and loved. The one and only Luke Walter Jr., 88 years young, born and raised in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York.
To know him was not only an honor, a privilege, and a gift. To love him was something all its own.
At 19, he made a brave and daring decision to join the United States Marine Corps, a choice that shaped his character and gave him a pride he carried every day of his life. He survived things most couldn't imagine including being held up and shot five times while working as a Wells Fargo money courier and he lived to tell the story, never losing his humor, grit, or love for life.
He went on to chase his dreams, starting with film school, becoming an actor and filmmaker who traveled the world, lived boldly, and experienced the kind of things most of us only see in movies. He loved sharing these larger than life adventures with everyone. Friends knew him as "Luke Stories" because with him, there was always another unbelievable tale to be told.
For over 20 years, he dedicated himself to ProSho, bringing his years of film experience to the entertainment production world with a work ethic stronger than people half his age. Even in his final days, he still wanted to work, because working, giving, and moving forward was simply who he was.
But above all, his proudest accomplishment was his family. He leaves behind five beautiful children Linda Lee Trezza, Charlene Oliveira, Danielle Tucci, Luke Walter & Shannon Walter who were his joy, his legacy, and the people he was most proud of in this world. Along with his wife Lorraine Walter who helped care for him to the very end. For them, he went above and beyond his limitations. He was selfless, full of life, and carried the kindest heart and soul.
The family invites you to join them in honoring and celebrating his life on October 6th, 2025 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at Cherubini-McInerney Funeral Home, 1289 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10302.
Come ready to laugh, cry, and share stories because if there's one thing he left us, it's millions of them.
