Lula Catherine Bell, 92, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Monroe Regional Hospital. She was born in Belzoni, MS on June 16, 1933 to Willie Luther and Lula Mae Poole Frazier. She moved with her family in the 1940s to Monroe County and she graduated from Hamilton High School in 1951. She the widow of Loyd Lee Bell and she worked for Sharp Garment for many years. Later she worked for many years at the Monroe County Hospital prior to her retirement. She had a true heart of gold and sacrificed for her children. She loved visiting with people, and she never met a stranger. She kept her own yard and garden, and she walked on a daily basis. She was a member of the Caledonia Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with Minister Tim Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Christ Bell of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Timothy Bell and Kaylee Bell; and two great grandchildren, Leeam James Spencer and Arlee Katherine Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Lee Bell; and siblings, Charles Edward “Chuck” Frazier, Betty Lou Frazier, Billy Art Frazier, and Willie Luther “Sonny” Frazier, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Corbell, Josh Corbell, McKedzie Crump, Darryl Byrd, Barrett Baggett, and Adam Harmon.
A special thank-you is extended to Dr. Matt Harris, Shellie Moffett, and staff and nurses of the Monroe Regional Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Bell.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
