Luna Fortner Shepherd

Luna Fortner Shepherd -age 91 of Lenoir City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2023. Luna was a member of Park West Church of God. She was retired from Allied Chemical in Knoxville.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Virgil Shepherd; parents, Luna Fortner and Clara Shanks Fortner; granddaughter, Tracy Chase; great-grandson, Nolan Fachman; brothers: Ralph, Leon, G.W. Ted, and Conley Fortner.
Luna is survived by her sons, Allen Shepherd (Patricia), Wayne Shepherd (Katrina); daughters, Gayle Fridley, Cheryl Massengill (Steve); grandchildren: Jennifer Benson, Jeremy, Kristopher and Melody Shepherd, Daniel Shepherd, Jessica Shepherd Fachman, Stephanie Gray; great-grandchildren: Hyme, Ethan, Asher, Eli, Mackenzie, Annabeth, Josie, Makayla, Charlotte, Greyson, Anastasia, Zoe, Matthew, Carlie and Noah; God children: Judah, Zane, Chayah and Anya; sister-in-law, Edith Shepherd; special nephew, Greg Shepherd (April) along with several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 29th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the Bookwalter Cemetery in Knoxville for graveside services.
