Tom Hildebrant was born on February 6, 1941, in Caney Kansas, to the late Joe Hildebrant and Mary Odetta (O’Neal) Hildebrant. He departed this life on Monday, April 7, 2025, at his home in Ringling.

Tom’s early years were marked by frequent moves as his family followed his father’s employment in the oilfield. He settled in Ringling during his junior year of high school and graduated from Ringling High School in 1959. He went on to attend college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.

For 64 years, he was a devoted husband. He and Donna Faye Moore were married on November 24, 1961 at the Ringling Methodist Church. They were the first couple to wed in the new sanctuary. Tom then enrolled in pharmacy school at The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in Norman, graduating as a pharmacist. He began his career in Durant and later worked in Waco, Texas. After the passing of his father-in-law, William “Bill” Moore, who was also a pharmacist, Tom and Donna returned to Ringling. Tom took over as a pharmacist at Moore Drug, where he worked alongside his brother-in-law, Mike Moore, for 47 years. Tom and Donna built a life full of love, memories, and shared adventures. Together they traveled, explored, and built a beautiful family. Tom’s love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. He tooksuch pride in watching his family grow—whether it was cheering from the sidelines at a grandchild’s sports game, applauding their performances, or simply enjoying those everyday moments. He reveled in the joy of seeing his legacy carried on through their laughter, their successes, and their dreams.

Tom also cherished the time he spent working cattle and riding horses on his property north of Ringling. He loved to quail hunt, fish and hosting cookouts with the company of great friends. Tom gave of himself in countless ways, quietly supporting those around him with wisdom, advice, and a steady presence. He believed in the strength of a close-knit community and worked tirelessly to make it a better place for all who lived there. He served on the Ringling School Board, the Rural Water Board and many years as the Fire Chief for the Ringling Volunteer Fire Department. He was a devoted member of the Ringling Methodist Church. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched, the many people he helped, and the countless memories we all carry with us.

Preceding him in death were his parents; infant brother, Arthur Dennis Hildebrant and brother Bob Hildebrant.

Survivors include his loving wife Donna of the home; children, Thomas Michael Hildebrant and wife Cindy of Ringling, Becky Jo Lyle and husband Charles of Ringling and Traci Ann Royse and husband Bryan of Edmond; sisters, Patricia Rael of Albuquerque, NM and Judy Saichompoo and husband Chalard of Thailand; grandchildren, Kaitlin Hildebrant, Ben Hildebrant, Miranda Hildebrant, Landon Lyle, Marlee Lyle, Kash Lyle, Dawson Royse and Emerson Royse; great-grandchildren, Kanton Lyle, Flint Hildebrant and Sofia Lyle; numerous other family and friends.
