LuWanda Marie Dalton Breen, 92, of Quinton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, surrounded by love, the glow of her Christmas tree, and her favorite chair.

LuWanda was born on September 14, 1933, in Yale, Oklahoma, the only daughter of Guy and Glorene Dalton, and grew up with her four brothers - Dale, Harous, Donald Lee, and Billy Ray. Her upbringing during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl years shaped her resilience, practicality, humor, and strong sense of self-reliance.

On November 7, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the First Baptist Church, located at 4th and Cincinnati. She married William Robert Breen of Weehawken, New Jersey. Together, they built a life marked by devotion, partnership, and more than 70 years of marriage. Their home, their commitment, and their love became the foundation of generations.

LuWanda was known for her sharp mind, strong presence, and natural authority. She was business brilliant - strategic, organized, and always two steps ahead. Long before women received professional titles or recognition, she demonstrated the intelligence, decisiveness, and confidence of a CEO.

A true Virgo, she valued honesty, order, discipline, and integrity. She spoke the truth because she cared, believing deeply in responsibility, character, and follow-through. Her expectations built confidence. Her guidance shaped lives.

She also delighted in simple joys - including a margarita on the rocks with salt, a good tonic, and cheering for her beloved Oklahoma City Thunder. This past summer, she celebrated a long-awaited moment: the Thunder winning their first NBA Championship. She knew the roster inside and out - every trade, injury, acquisition, and rising star - and never hesitated to voice her opinions to the referees or commentators from home.

LuWanda lived with dignity and leaves with grace. Her strength, humor, wisdom, and presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her three children:

Linda Breen of Tulsa, Oklahoma;

Gail Breen Biedermann of Moab, Utah;

and Janet Breen Gaume-Wakefield of Quinton, Oklahoma;

as well as her son-in-law, Randy Gaume-Wakefield, also of Quinton, Oklahoma.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren:

Whitney Leigh Fair, James Clifford Fair III, Dalton Kyle Gaume-Wakefield, and Liam Breen Gaume-Wakefield.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers; her beloved husband, William R. Breen, Sr.; and her son, William R. Breen, Jr.

Services will be announced at a later date.
