Luz M. Lallier

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Luz Lallier on September 3, 2025.

Born on March 21, 1953, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, Luz was the beloved daughter of the late Gloria E. Rivera and David Rivera. She spent most of her life in Hartford, Connecticut, before later settling in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Luz is survived by her loving daughter, Christine Espinosa, and her husband, Teofilo Espinosa Jr. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to four grandchildren: Miguel, Briana, Nathalia, and Ayliana, and a cherished great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her siblings: Ramon Nuñez, Hugo Nuñez, Raquel and her husband Mark Welch, and Ana Rodney and her husband Ronnie Leggett. Luz's memory will also live on through her many nieces and nephews, and her longtime life partner, David Romashko.

Though she faced many challenges in her final days, Luz fought with strength and grace, always offering a smile and maintaining a positive spirit. She found comfort and joy in reading the Bible, watching Christian programs, crocheting, sewing, and-most importantly-spending time with her family and friends over a good meal.

Luz's warm heart, unwavering faith, and enduring love for those around her left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
