Luzia Eby Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cotner Funeral Home on Dec. 24, 2025.
Luzia (Lucy) A. Eby, age 79, passed away at her home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, on December 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She lived her life with a stubborn vigor - one that cherished good food, treasured friendships, and the simple pleasure of having fun.

She is survived by her stepdaughter Tammy and her husband Craig Schlieman; her daughter Lisa and her husband Roger Johnson; and her son Michael and his wife Denise. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a delighted great grandmother to eight with two more on the way. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean, whom she loved deeply and missed dearly.

Lucy had a passion for travel, Christmas and never passed up the chance to hunt for a good bargain while shopping. Her presence, fierce honesty, and love touched everyone who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at Glen Rest Cemetery on December 30th at 10:00 a.m.

Luz, we've had so many laughs and heartaches together over the years, and I will truly miss your laugh, our vacations, the million breakfasts, lunches and dinners together - and cooking together over the holidays. And especially our super fun day on Gasparilla Island (Boca Grande) down here by us. If was the last big time together with You and Dean, and Me and Lisa!!!! Renting a gold cart to tool around the island, and you running from the iguana, were such a great memory for me - OF US!!!

This pic I took, from that day, is one of my favorites, FOREVER!!!!
