Lyle Todd Geiger, age 66, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Lyle was born on August 3, 1959 in Milwaukee to Lyle Ernest Geiger and the late Janice Katherine (Gilhardt) Geiger.
He spent his childhood in Milwaukee and Kenosha and then moved to Antigo as a teenager where he attended Antigo High School. Lyle worked in the woods with his father and family. He also gardened with his parents.
Lyle was a nurturing and devoted father. He enjoyed riding his bike, playing cards and fishing. He was also an avid baseball and football fan.
As a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Lyle was dedicated to learning about Jesus and built a strong faith in Him. He loved Christian music and attending church service every Sunday.
Survivors in addition to his father include a son Brian (Jessica) Hitz of Antigo, a daughter Yvonne (David) Longsteth of Thailand, 4 grandchildren: Dustin, Brian Jr, Brooke, Varyn, 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Cindy Lenzner and Gail Geiger (Gregg Walters), 3 brothers: Terry (Bonnie) Geiger, Kim Geiger, and Tim (Patricia) Geiger. Lyle is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his mother, Lyle was preceded in death by his beloved companion Jean Brechlin and a sister Candace “Candy” Geiger.
A visitation will be held on Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Reverend Erik Alair will officiate.
Memorials in Lyle’s name may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church.
